有很多方法，比如拼音查字法，知道字的读音，不知道字的意义，就用拼音查字法：先找汉语拼音音节索引中声母部分，再查韵母部分，再找字的读音，找到对应的页数，最后找到要查的字。

还有部首查字法，看到自己不认识的字后，先观察字的结构，找到字的部首，数出笔画在部首检字表中查出部首的页数，然后在检字表中找部首及对应的页数，再查出其它部分的笔画数，就找到这个字了，我就可以了解这个字的读音、组词和意义了。
